A United States District Judge entered judgment of acquittal on behalf of Dan Cogdell’s client, finding that prosecution had engaged in prosecutorial misconduct. The prosecutor and an FBI agent were both held in contempt of Court.

A state district judge was charged with tampering with a governmental record. All charges were dismissed prior to trial.
Cogdell’s client, a surgeon, was acquitted at trial of all charges, including Insurance fraud, and practicing medicine without a license.
A cardiovascular and thoracic physician was “No-billed” by Grand Jury after a euthanasia/mercy killing investigation. Cogdell’s client also prevailed following an investigation by the Texas State Medical Board.
The case was called the “Spring Shadows Glenn Psychiatric Fraud Trial.” In this high-profile prosecution, Cogdell’s client’s case was dismissed after an arduous six months in trial. He was acquitted of all charges.
This was an exceedingly difficult case in which an alternative treatment physician was acquitted of multiple charges. Remaining charges against the physician were ultimately dismissed by the Government following two separate trials.
